Confidential and Impartial Support: Our Third-Party Ombudsperson

We are committed to maintaining a fair, ethical, and supportive environment for everyone. We understand that sometimes you may feel uncomfortable addressing a concern directly with our staff or board members. For those situations, we have partnered with an independent, third-party ombudsperson. The ombudsperson is a confidential, impartial, and independent resource available to anyone who interacts with our organization (e.g., clients, members, volunteers, or staff).

The Ombudsperson’s Role is to:

  • Listen Confidentially: Provide a safe space to discuss concerns, issues, or complaints off the record.

  • Explore Options: Help you clarify your concerns and explore various options for resolution, including informal channels.

  • Remain Neutral: They do not advocate for the organization or the individual, but rather for fairness and due process.

  • Uphold Principles: Their service is designed to ensure that everyone is treated equitably and that our organizational policies are applied justly.

Concerns You Can Discuss with the Ombudsperson

The ombudsperson can provide guidance on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to:

  • Concerns about Unfair Treatment: Situations where you feel policies or procedures have been applied unjustly or inconsistently.

  • Ethical Dilemmas: Questions about organizational ethics or potential conflicts of interest.

  • Misconduct or Harassment: Reporting actions that may violate our code of conduct.

  • Communication Difficulties: Instances where internal resolution efforts have stalled or been unsuccessful.

Please note:
Contacting the ombudsperson is completely voluntary and all communications are handled with the highest degree of confidentiality, as permitted by law. If you wish to contact the ombudsperson directly and confidentially, please email the link below:
